Established in 2002, Studio Messori Luciano is a small economics consultancy, mainly active in the fields of Transport
Economics, Project Evaluation (including Benefit-Cost Analysis and
Health Impact Assessment), Economic Impact Studies, Social Housing and Rural Development.
Studio Messori's clients include private companies, universities, public bodies, and international organisations.
Since 2002 Dr Luciano Messori is a Lecturer in Economics at the Universities of Bologna and Ferrara and is also part of the technical-scientific experts register of the Ministry of Education, University and
Research for the appraisal of the scientific-technical aspects of the projects and programs submitted in the framework of evaluative and contractual procedures.
NEWS
On December 2022 Luciano Messori has joined the Department of Economics of Bologna University research team for the H2020 Project "COORDINATE - COhort cOmmunity Research and Development Infrastructure Network for Access Throughout Europe".
The aim of the COORDINATE project is to mobilise the community of researchers and organisations that will drive forwards the coordinated development of comparative birth cohort panel and associated survey research in Europe which focus on children’s well-being.

The article "Ex-ante socio-economic impact assessment for a social science research infrastructure: The case of EuroCohort", written by Luciano Messori, Giulio Ecchia and Chris O'Leary has been published on the Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics.
The aim of this paper is to present the ex ante Socio-Economic Impact Assessment of a European Social Science Research Infrastructure (RI) named EuroCohort that will provide, over the next 34 years, a longitudinal study of the well-being of children and young people across Europe.

On May 2018 Luciano Messori has joined the Department of Economics of Bologna University research team for the "H2020 ECDP777449 European Cohort Development Project: ex Ante Cost Benefit Analysis".
The aim of the European Cohort Development Project (ECDP) is to create a specification and business case for a European Research Infrastructure that will provide, over the next 25 years, comparative longitudinal survey data on child and young adult well-being. The infrastructure developed by ECDP will subsequently coordinate the first Europe wide cohort survey, which the ECDP names EuroCohort. The Department of Economics of Bologna University team will provide information that allows EuroCohort to be fully costed and subsequently will use these data to inform a cost-benefit analysis which will contribute to making the business case to policy makers and national funding bodies.
